Asphalt Paving

Asphalt typically has a lifespan of 10-15 years. Severe weather conditions may cause many cracks, voids or depressions to appear over time, making your home’s curb appeal less than desirable. To solve the problem, there are a couple of options available to you.

For driveways showing signs of deterioration such as cracking and exposed gravel, installing an asphalt overlay may be appropriate. As long as there are no significant depressions, there may be an opportunity to save up to 30% rather than fully replacing your driveway.

However, the best option for an asphalt driveway is to remove and replace existing asphalt. This allows the base to be adjusted to the necessary code requirements within the region. When the base has been built to satisfaction and compaction thresholds achieved, it is only then that asphalt paving can take place. This means that the sub-base is sturdy enough for asphalt paving. A typical driveway application of 3” of HL3 asphalt is laid and compacted with specialized water compactors that control the cooling of the hot asphalt.

For added aesthetic value, Pave Pro often complements asphalt with interlocking borders offering a simple and modern design.

Pave Pro also offers commercial industrial grades of asphalt for driveways that house heavy vehicles such as trucks, equipment trailers, etc. Heavily used areas of asphalt sometimes require added stability. Pave Pro has the necessary experience to handle any type of application.
